2012 Submissions Now Accepted

We are delighted to announce that Limelight Film Awards has now reopened for the 2012 awards and to celebrate this all submissions received in October will be completely FREE..More

With 12 film categories, a £10,000 production award and an attendance of over 500 film makers, celebrities and TV/ Film personalities, in its fifth year - Limelight Film and Arts Awards is paving the way for emerging British film makers and helping to strengthen the industry.  Last year’s Film of the Night was won by Animator Jessica Ashman who scooped a Limelight Hat trick of awards for her film Fixing Luka.

The official reopening will be announced by Limelight CEO Munsur Ali, who will also be presenting an award at the forthcoming Brit Writers Awards ceremony at London's Madame Tausauds.

Key Dates

  • Friday October 7th 2011 – Submission Opening
  • Friday April 20th 2012 – Submission Closing
  • Mid/Late May 2012 –  Judging/Nominated Films Announced
  • Mid/Late June 2012 – Awards Ceremony Night


The submission fees for the 2012 round are as follows:

  • FREE - Early bird submissions - October 7th – October 31st 2011
  • £5  -  November 1st – March 31st  2012
  • £10  - April 1st – April 20th 2012

Submissions are also FREE all year round for those aged 18 and under and / or in full time education, e.g. schools, colleges, universities.  Stamps will be required from educational institutions.
